Hello, I’m Eric Friesen.
I have been a pastor for more than 15 years, walking alongside couples as they build a life together. I am now a licensed officiant for the province of Manitoba.
While I grew up on a farm, I’ve lived in and around Winnipeg for most of my adult life with a bit of time spent in Texas in between.
Over the years of officiating weddings, I noticed that what is meant to be the most significant and memorable day in the life of a couple is often the most stressful one.
I started Marry Me in 2016 to make the wedding day a memory to cherish for couples like you.
I want to help you prepare for a wedding — and marriage — you’ll love.
My goal is to make the process smooth and memorable for you, as well as give you some tools for a promising start.
I’m a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) certified practitioner and also help leaders of nonprofits, churches and businesses discover a purposeful future.
I love a good book, a strong cup of coffee (with honey and no cream) and a stimulating conversation. My four children would describe my jokes as ‘dad humour,’ but I like to think a little laughter goes a long way in building relationships.
If you ask me, the perfect wedding playlist is a good mix of U2, Eric Church and ….[insert your favourite band name here].
And while I’ve been a city slicker for a long time, I’m always a farmer at heart.
